Meet Tara.
Welcome! My name is Tara Hicks, a native Oregonian and avid plant lover.
I have a degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA) and I’m a registered Horticultural Therapist (HTR). I’ve worked with seniors and witnessed first hand with a wide variety of populations how interacting with plant life can enhance wellbeing. I’ve worked with homeowners to help them recognize their natural landscape and plan transformative designs for beautiful and healthful outdoor homes.

My main passion is to have my hands in the soil, working with plants directly and growing plant life to thrive. My own backyard in North Portland has temperate, tropical and arid plants, a greenhouse, water features, colors, lights, plants to eat, plants that bloom, plants to admire, and plants that bring joy even during long rainy grey winters.
